A free listing for licensed couples therapists
For California LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and licensed psychologists who work with couples. Free to join, free to stay listed.
The short version
Tell us about your practice. We check your license on the DCA License Search, draft your profile from your website and what you send, and publish it only after you approve it. Your contact details are shown directly to couples. There is no fee, no per-lead charge and no paid ranking.
Who can join?
- You hold a current, active California license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or psychologist.
- Couples therapy is a real part of your practice.
- You see clients located in California, in person or by telehealth.
Registered associates (AMFT, ASW, APCC) and psychological associates are not listed yet. We plan to add them with the supervisor and employer details the Board requires. Coaches and unlicensed practitioners are not listed.
What does a listing include?
- License block at the top of your profile: your first and last name as filed with your board, your full license title and your license number, together, as BBS advertising rules require (effective 1 April 2026). We add the date we checked your license.
- Your approach to couples work, in your own words, and what first sessions look like.
- Methods and training (for example RLT, Gottman, EFT, Imago), focus areas, languages.
- Office locations and telehealth, session length, fees, sliding scale, superbills and plans you are in network with.
- Your phone, email and website, shown directly. Couples contact you; we are not in the middle.
- A shareable profile address made of a readable slug plus a stable number, for example
/therapists/firstname-lastname-lmft-san-diego-1042/.
What happens after I sign up?
- You complete the short sign-up form (about 3 minutes).
- We look up your license by hand on the DCA License Search.
- We draft your profile from your website and the details you send. We do not copy other directories.
- You review the draft by email and correct anything. Nothing is published without your approval.
- Your profile goes live. We ask you to reconfirm fees and availability at least once a year.
The rules
- No paid ranking. No one can pay to appear higher or to appear on area pages. See how listings are ordered.
- No client reviews or testimonials. Professional codes (AAMFT, APA, ACA, NASW) restrict soliciting testimonials from clients, so we do not collect or show them.
- Accurate information. Your profile must reflect your actual license, training and services. Do not describe method training you have not completed.
- Insurance wording. We show what you state (in network with named plans, superbills, sliding scale). We never label a profile "covered by insurance."
- Removal any time. Email us and we take your profile down, usually within two business days.
- We may decline or remove a listing if the license is not current and active, or for public disciplinary action that bears on client safety. We will tell you why.
Why is it free?
We are building the most useful directory of couples therapists in California, starting with real, checked profiles and good guides for couples. Listing is free. We do not sell your data and we do not charge per contact.
Where are we now?
The directory opened to therapist sign-ups in November 2026. We publish profiles one by one as licenses are checked and drafts approved. Early profiles will appear on our California and area pages as they go live.
